Website Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 August 2026
These terms govern use of alacrix.ai, the content published on it and enquiries submitted through it. They are website terms. They are not the engagement terms that govern a consultancy relationship with Alacrix.
01
About these terms
These terms govern your use of alacrix.ai. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of how we operate this website.
02
About Alacrix
Alacrix provides AI governance and implementation consultancy services to law firms and accountancy practices. For any question about these terms, contact tracy.gabriels@alacrix.ai.
03
Website content is general information
Content on this website, including Insights, is provided for general information and business education. It is not legal advice, regulatory advice, accounting advice, tax advice, insurance advice or a substitute for advice based on your organisation’s specific facts.
Where legal, regulatory, accounting, tax or other specialist questions arise, you should obtain appropriate professional advice before acting.
04
No client relationship from website use
Viewing content on this website, sending an enquiry or exchanging preliminary correspondence does not itself create a client or consultant relationship, and does not bind Alacrix to provide services. A consultancy engagement begins only when scope and commercial terms are agreed through an appropriate written engagement, proposal or contract.
05
Client engagement terms prevail
If you become a client, the agreed proposal, statement of work or contract governs the consultancy engagement. If there is any conflict between these website terms and signed engagement terms, the engagement terms prevail in relation to the services.
06
Accuracy and currency
We aim to keep content useful and accurate, but AI, regulatory and technology topics change quickly. We include dates and source links where practical. We do not promise that every page is complete or continuously current. Before making a material decision, verify the position against primary sources and current professional advice.
07
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, Alacrix owns or licenses the design, copy, graphics, logo and original content on this website. You may view and download reasonable extracts for internal business reference.
Without our permission, you may not:
- republish or sell our content
- scrape the site at scale
- reproduce substantial parts of our content
- remove attribution or notices
- present Alacrix material as your own
You may link to public pages on this website provided the link is fair, lawful and not misleading, and does not suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist. Third-party logos, quotations and source material referenced on this site remain the property of their respective owners.
08
Acceptable use
You must not:
- misuse or attack the website
- attempt unauthorised access to the website or any connected system
- introduce malware or other malicious code
- use automated methods in a way that materially disrupts the service
- impersonate another person or submit knowingly false or unlawful material

09
Enquiries
You are responsible for the information you submit through the website. Please do not send passwords, authentication secrets or unnecessary highly sensitive or confidential information through the general enquiry form. If you need a secure channel, say so in your enquiry and we will arrange one.
We may decline to respond to enquiries that are abusive, unlawful, spam or outside the scope of our services.
10
Third-party links
Links to regulators, professional bodies and other third-party sources are provided for convenience and as evidence for the points we make. We do not control those sites, and linking to them does not mean we endorse every statement, product or service on them.
11
Website availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw the website, or any part of it, at any time. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or free from errors or interruptions.
12
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alacrix is not responsible for losses arising solely from reliance on general website content in circumstances where advice specific to your organisation should have been obtained, or for the content or availability of third-party sites outside our control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13
Security
You are responsible for protecting your own systems and should use appropriate security controls, including up to date protection against malicious code. We take reasonable steps to operate this website securely, but no internet service can be guaranteed completely secure.
14
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Revised terms apply from the date they are published on this page, and the Last updated date will change accordingly. Please review them from time to time.
15
Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. This is subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you under the law of another jurisdiction.
